           Welcome to an enjoyable and intellectually stimulating Conference

Globalisation and tariff cuts forced many industries, especially regional industries, to operate on a continually diminishing profit margin. This environment has created the current urge to develop and implement more efficient industrial practice.  Therefore, technology development and implementations (e.g. Automation, Robotisation, Mechatronics applications, etc) play an important role in making industry sustainable in an increasingly competitive world. 

Regional industries, not only in Victoria and not only in Australia but world-wide, are desperate to develop and adopt new technology to face the challenges of globalization and free (or competing) market economy. Therefore, in order to help this vital sector of our World today, the theme of this conference was chosen to be on:

“Future Technology in Service of Regional Industry”

The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of emerging industrial technology. Additionally, it serves as a conduit for channelling advanced technology to the region.

In addition to the expected high technical standard of this conference, we aim to give all participants a real taste of the true Australian culture in the beautiful area of Gippsland.  We have dedicated and committed teams with the objective of making this conference not only intellectually stimulating but also enjoyable cultural experience.
