Professor Kouhei Ohnishi

Professor Kouhei Ohnishi received B.E. (1975), M.E.(1977) and Ph.D.(1980) all in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo. He was an Instructor (1980-1982) of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Keio University, and Assistant Professor (1982-1988), Associate Professor (1988-1996) and Full Professor (1996-Present) of the Department of System Design Engineering, Keio University.

He has been President of The IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IEEE IES) since 2008 and Director of The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ). He was elected as EEE Fellow (2001) and Japan Society of Mechanical Engineering Fellow (2002).

He received numerous awards including the Kenjiro Takayanagi Memorial Award (1986), The Japan Society of Precision Engineering Award (1995), IEEE IES Dr.-Ing. Eugene Mittelmann Achievement Award (2004), EPE-Council Award (2004), the IEEJ Achievement Award (2008), FANUC Robot/FA Foundation Best Paper Award (2003, 2007, 2008). He published 150 full papers, 300 conference papers, 20 patents and 10 text books.

Professor Henry-Eric Spinnler

Professor Eric Spinnler, Ms.E. (’81 ENSAIA - food industries), PhD (’84 Institut  National Agronomique - Paris Grignon), is considered to be the top world leaders in Cheese process control (by the number of scientific articles published in France on this subject, as seen on the web of science (WOS) database).  His publications include 69 Scientific Journal Articles, 13 Chapters in technical books, 3 Patents, 118 conference presentations including 97 refereed papers.

Koorosh Khodabandehloo

Koorosh Khodabandehloo is a graduate Electrical Engineering form King’s College, University of London. After graduation and a short period in industry in 1982, he continued with research at the Centre for Robotics and Automated Systems, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London. At the age of 25, he was appointed Lecturer at the University of Bristol and continued an academic career over the period 1985-1997.
