Professor Henry-Eric Spinnler

Professor Eric Spinnler, Ms.E. (’81 ENSAIA - food industries), PhD (’84 Institut  National Agronomique - Paris Grignon), is considered to be the top world leaders in Cheese process control (by the number of scientific articles published in France on this subject, as seen on the web of science (WOS) database).  His publications include 69 Scientific Journal Articles, 13 Chapters in technical books, 3 Patents, 118 conference presentations including 97 refereed papers.

He is currently the Deputy President of the Department of Science and Engineering for Food and Bioproducts at AgroParisTech. Previously, in 2006 he became the President of the Department of Science and Biological and Food Industries (SIAB) at INA-PG after serving as the Deputy President of the same department for three years.

From 1999 to 2003 Eric was the Deputy Director of the joint research unit INA-PG/INRA (UMR of microbiology and food processing). The research Unit included 35 permanent laboratory staff  mainly involved in various cheese process control and other food process control projects.

From December 1994, Eric has been a professor of food technology in the “Institut National Agronomique Paris – Grignon” (France) leading a teaching group of 11 permanent staff (3 professors and 8 assistant professors). He also worked as Senior Scientist, INRA, Laboratoire de Recherches sur les Arômes (’88 – ’94).

Professor Eric Spinnler is a permanent expert in National Agency for Food Safety (AFSSA) and a reviewer in several scientific journals.
