How to get to the Gippsland Campus

There will be a fleet of air-conditioned coaches that will take the delegates from Melbourne to the conference Venue and return them to Melbourne again at the end of the conference. This transportation is sponsored by the Ministry of Regional Development. In addition, there are excellent public transportation facilities linking Melbourne with Gippsland (Morwell Station) (V/Line) for those who wish to arrange their own travel.

Location

About 160 kilometres east of Melbourne. Refer to the Latrobe Valley road map as a guide.

By car

A two hour drive from Melbourne along the Princes Highway.
Follow the signs, initially towards Warragul, then towards Morwell.
At Morwell, exit the freeway at the fourth (4th) off ramp (signposted Churchill/Monash University).

By Bus/Rail

Daily rail and coach services to and from Melbourne run from the Southern Cross and Flinders Street Stations. Refer to the V/LINE Melbourne to Bairnsdale timetable.for details.
Disembark at Morwell.

Cross the railway lines to the bus interchange for services to the campus and Churchill. See Latrobe Valley Bus Lines (LVBL) for contact details and timetables. There is also a special taxi service available for Monash staff and students.
